200 years of Anna Ball – anniversary celebration with Herend porcelain

Herend Porcelain Manufactory and Anna Ball, as two Hungaricums of Veszprém County, have long been inseparable – they are connected by values, culture and quality.

The female guests wore this year’s jubilee turquoise, mother-of-pearl-coated, platinum-bordered porcelain hearts around their necks, inspired by the colour of Lake Balaton. The Belle of the Ball was 18-year-old Laura Szabó, and the runners-up were Laura Windisch and Laura Zsoldos. All three received unique Herend ornamental vases, depicting a modern reinterpretation of the classic patterns Victoria, Rothschild and Apponyi.

The Kiss Ernő Prize was also presented at the ball, which this year went to literary historian and museologist Mihály Praznovszky. The ball menu was served on a 3,400-piece Herend porcelain tableware, worth 130 million forints – precious decorations of a 200-year-old tradition.
